I stumbled across this song tonight, and it made me remember this post I wrote about it more than a year ago. Incidentally, the song still makes me feel like it always did. It still expresses certain things I've always known, since long before I ever heard it. This time, play the song while you read the original post below it.

This song came on random play this morning. I thanked my computer because, I'll be darned, I'm right in the middle of a blogworld challenge to post all things beautiful for 30 days.
It's a gorgeous and infectious song. About beauty. The first time I listened to it I cried, because it articulated in its quirky little way ideas derived from deep within me: the conviction that beauty is at the centre of the human soul. Beauty adds essence to our existence, from it we find meaning - a spiritual connection with that which that which is less than tangible. Those things the soul understands but our brains might not.
We're blessed. And I, for one, will continue to celebrate it.
This challenge is proving to be not so much of a challenge. But see, I guess I've been thinking about this stuff all along. Since before I ever heard this song, and way before things like youtube and blogging were invented.
Whew! That one does get the tears going fast.
I don't know where the wonder comes from, but I'm glad it's there.

Wonderful song. I'm not surprised you are having no trouble finding your things of beauty because I suspect you might just have quite a lot of beauty in your soul.
