I walked Mia's dog around the pretty neighbourhood a couple of times today.  I go over to this lookout over the Don Valley and I find this lovely astrological mandala in the circle, which I don't recall having seen before.

Spring has sprung in the valley.

The best thing about May? LILACS!

Ceri and I decide to take advantage of the gorgeous day and walk up to Kensington Market and poke around there for a few hours.  If I photographed everything that caught my eye, I'd be there for a month.  Later we meet up with Carly for a bite to eat.  A really good day.

Today I walk up to get my hair cut at the Elmwood Spa.  On the way I see this great mural. Shop a little on my way home.  Walk back via King Street amongst the theatre goers deciding where to eat post show.

Deb and I sat up and had more wine, talking about family stories, how important they are to all of us.

Today we walked up to the Delta Chelsea to the Winterfolk Festival and listened to some music.  Kelsey joined us there, and so did Debbie as soon as she got into town for the weekend.  Later, we went over and had dinner on Yonge Street and walked home via Queen, then King and had wine and chatted.  After Ceri went home, Deb and I had more wine and chatted more.

This week I'm walking to work the "no-shortcuts" way, walking up to my office east along Adelaide Street from Spadina.  It's part of the "Entertainment District" though the street with the beautiful name is rather shabby along the route I walk - it has none of the swankiness of King Street, a block south.  There are some great buildings though, and construction underway in spots, and slated to begin in others, and I expect in the next few years the area will house a lot of new glass. I'll enjoy the "shabby" bits while I can!
