I walked Mia's dog around the pretty neighbourhood a couple of times today.  I go over to this lookout over the Don Valley and I find this lovely astrological mandala in the circle, which I don't recall having seen before.

The problem with posting early in the day is that you might find some great images later!  After dinner Ceri and I take a walk, first in the Toronto Music Garden, and then over to the Harbourfront Centre.  I don't need to tell you it was a beautiful evening.

I get home and find a card in the mail from Jane, with a bunch of cut out articles and Beatrix Potter. Sure is nice to be reminded that your sister is thinking about you.  I miss you lots Janey.  (Seems to me, a little girl I knew got a card like that from another sister (aunt) who lived in the UK years ago...

The last couple of days I've not taken particularly good pictures.  So that makes me feel a little freer to play with contrast and light.  Real photographers do this with lenses, stops, apertures and stuff.  I do it with software.  I play with the dials until a picture looks pretty to me.  Humour me; it's fun.

Today I walk up to get my hair cut at the Elmwood Spa.  On the way I see this great mural. Shop a little on my way home.  Walk back via King Street amongst the theatre goers deciding where to eat post show.

Back to work today.  Productive, though I'd gotten used to the freedom of that FOUR DAY weekend!   Should be back up to speed by Friday.  In the meantime, I do like today's photos.

Out Walking: Cabbagetown, Riverdale

 

On the way over to Ceri's I find thise great bunches of Pussywillows, Maple Leaf Square.

 

Walking to Cabbagetown, we spot the pretty stained glass in the inner vestebule of a building. Then we notice poor Pee Wee Herman in a bit of a situation. There was nothing we could do to save him, the door was locked.

On this beautiful Good Friday, we take a walk to Cabbagetown, and then through Riverdale Farm and the adjacent (and most beautiful) Toronto Necropolis.

A lot of people criticise the obligatory art that comes with every new condo.  I like these pieces a lot though; how they evoke both rail and water travel.  Tribute to the rail corridor just north and the harbour just south.  I always admire how that one there flirts with the western sky.

Last push for the big proposal today, and got the thing submitted.  Everyone agreed we did a good job, and I'm feeling satisfied. 

Tired from all that hard work over the past several weeks, it was with great pleasure I arrived at Beer O'clock today.  An extra special one, with wonderful friends Deb and Len in town.  Really nice visit and meal at the pub.
